Textbook & Chromebook Return
Students on Campus:
Textbook and chromebook return will be on Thursday, June 3rd and Friday, June 4th. Students will come to the Library with their History class. So if the student has History period 1, 2 or 3, their return date is Thursday, June 3rd. If the student has History period 4, 5 or 6, their return date is Friday, June 4th. Students will return ALL their materials at that time -- Textbooks, library books, class novels and chromebooks. Workbooks or other consumables do not need to be returned. Please remember to bring the charger if you checked out a chromebook.
Distance Learners and GOAL students:
For students learning off-campus, textbook and chromebook return will be on Wednesday, June 9th. If your last name starts with A - L, please come to the library between 9 and 11:30 am; if your last name starts with M - Z, please come between 1 and 3 pm. Students will return ALL their materials at that time -- Textbooks, library books, class novels and chromebooks. Workbooks or other consumables do not need to be returned. Please remember to bring the charger if you checked out a chromebook.
Library books are checked out for 2 weeks at a time. The date the book is due is stamped inside the front cover of the book. Students are sent courtesy reminders if their book becomes overdue. After 3 reminders to return or renew their book, students will be given a 15 minute Friday detention in the library. Repeat offenders will be referred to Mr. Zernickow for further disciplinary action
Accelerated Reader (AR)
Please note that in order to promote academic integrity, students MUST check with Mrs. Nixon before taking an AR quiz outside of regular class time. Additionally, students MUST display their ID card at all times while taking a quiz. Students without an ID card will not be allowed to test during independent library time. Students who have lost their ID may see Mrs. Brumfield for a new one.
Digital Reader? Then this section is for you!
Do you have a iPod, iPad, Kindle, Nook, Android or other type of mobile device that you use to read eBooks? Here are some places to look for free eBook downloads. Some are available for checkout only, just like a regular library book while others can be downloaded to your device and are available until you delete them. If you are having trouble with using any of these stop by the library and I'll try to help you out!
